We are an early-stage team building a verifiable execution layer for next-generation markets, with a high-performance perpetual DEX as its first native application. Unlike existing exchanges that can only prove settlement, our execution layer provides cryptographic proof of how every trade is executed—covering the matching engine, price formation, transaction sequencing, and all critical on- and off-chain logic.
The goal is to compete with the most advanced DEXs by combining high performance with cryptographic and system-level verifiability, rather than relying on opaque or trust-heavy designs.
Job description
We’re looking for a fractional CBDO / hands-on business development advisor to work closely with the founders to help drive adoption, liquidity, and ecosystem growth. This is a builder and deal-maker role, not a passive advisory position. You’ll be embedded with the team, shaping how the protocol grows, partners, and competes — especially in the early days when focus and sequencing matter most.
Commitment: Fractional (5–15 hrs/week)
Stage: Early-stage
Comp: Equity/cash-aligned, success fees
Location: Remote (EST to GST preferred)
What You’ll Do
- Define and execute early BD and growth strategy in close collaboration with founders
- Source, structure, and manage relationships with:
- Market makers and liquidity providers
- Strategic partners (wallets, L2s, infra, aggregators)
- Ecosystem and distribution partners
- Commodities market participants (tokenization providers, commodity trading firms, regulated exchanges, custody providers)
- Support go-to-market efforts for:
- Protocol launches
- New products or trading pairs
- Incentive and liquidity programs
- Work closely with product and engineering to:
- Translate partner needs into product requirements
- Ensure BD commitments are executable and aligned with protocol priorities
- Help establish repeatable BD processes (CRM-lite, pipelines, partner onboarding)
- Coordinate with operations and compliance to ensure partnerships are structured responsibly and pragmatically
Who You Are
- Crypto-native BD operator with 4–7 years in DeFi, trading infra, or Web3 platforms
- Strong network across:
- Market makers
- Trading firms
- DeFi protocols and infra providers
- Experience at early-stage startups (seed → Series A), ideally as:
- Head of BD
- Partnerships Lead
- Growth Lead
- Comfortable sourcing deals, negotiating terms, and closing independently
- Founder-level ownership mindset; outcome-driven rather than title-driven
- Understanding of commodities regulation (CFTC oversight, derivatives rules, spot vs. futures)
Nice to Have
- Deep understanding of:
- DEX market structure (AMMs, order books, perps)
- Liquidity programs and incentives
- Experience launching or scaling a DeFi protocol post-mainnet
- Familiarity with crypto-native compliance constraints and offshore structures
- Prior fractional or advisory BD experience
- Connections in traditional commodity markets or experience bridging TradFi and DeFi
