Governance & Administration Officer, Indices
Kaiko Indices, a subsidiary company of Kaiko, aims at providing the traditional and digital markets with robust and reliable rates & indices, based on high integrity data. In line with our standard of index administration, Kaiko Indices uses various committees to constitute both effective governance and oversight of our benchmarks.
We’re looking for an Index Administration Officer based in either Paris or London to be responsible for implementing and overseeing our products governance and control framework for all benchmark families under administration. This will involve working closely with the firm’s management, product and technology development functions. This role would allow the successful candidate to work in the heart of an integral part of the wider cryptocurrency ecosystem and drive data standards for the integration of cryptocurrency into the investment portfolios of institutions, corporations and individuals.
The Challenge:
- Chair the Regulatory & Compliance Working Group: set the administrator’s agenda, drive the resolution of issues and the execution of fundamental reviews, hold committee members accountable to ensure productive participation and contribution in compliance with the IOSCO Principles and the EU Benchmark Regulation.
- Participate as voting member to all index Product and Operational committees.
- Attende all contributors’ performance review meetings to monitor and challenge compliance with their code of conduct.
- Draft Index Administration policies, procedures and other required documentation.
- Be the point of contact with Regulatory Authorities such as the AMF or the FCA and ensure alignment of our index administration policies with authorities requirements.
- Collaborate with the firm’s technology development team to specify the build of new technology tools and infrastructure to facilitate index administration.
About You:
- 3 years experience in index administration and compliance, implementing policies and processes driven by BMR
- Experience gained within an index provider, asset management firm or bank
- Strong written and graphical communication including an ability to articulate data concepts in both English and French
- Understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology is a plus
- Knowledge of data software - EXCEL, SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks
