Weybridge is looking for a Project Manager for our Venture Capital division. Through its venture arm, Weybridge makes strategic investments in companies applying blockchain technology in unique and novel ways to disrupt existing industries in music, games, fashion, finance, and sports. Weybridge helps incubate these companies, grow and optimise their execution by leveraging the Weybridge team’s unique set of skills, experience, deep-rooted technology knowledge, industry connections and expertise.

We have team members working worldwide, from Europe, North America, to the Middle East and Asia. We leverage agile methodologies to move quickly and stay focused. Communication is vital to us, and we rely heavily on various digital communication technologies and platforms to help us stay in sync and coordinate all activities.


This role is a full-time remote position offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You have the option to work in one of our office locations if it is local to you.


Role Overview


In your role as our Project Manager in our Venture Capital Accelerator division, you will be working closely with senior management to coordinate, and track work streams related to deal flow, client and partners engagements, and related team activities; organising them into projects and continuously tracking all related communications and updates.


While working closely with senior management, you will get exposed to a very diverse client base across working on novel and exciting blockchain technology applications across a diverse set of industries.


This role is the link between the venture, accelerator verticals, clients, and partners, gathering updates from all teams on all accelerator program companies and projects and providing routine updates on all programs activity.

Key Responsibilities



  • Deal Origination

  • Coordinate specifications and requirements into structured projects for all incoming deals

  • Participate in and lead deal pipeline team meetings to track relevant details and coordinate related activities, timelines, projects dependencies, and execution forecasts

  • Project Management/Operations, Reporting & Support

  • On-board all assigned incoming deals and structure Weybridge’s engagement into clear projects

  • Develop and establish standard processes for project management, initiatives, tasks tracking, and reporting

  • Track and communicate project status, plans issues, timelines, action items, and budgets using appropriate systems, tools and techniques

  • In consultation with senior management, break projects down to specific deliverables, identify deadlines, and assign company resources

  • Analyze, plan and drive requirements and standards in reference to key projects

  • Keep track of all relevant updates and communications pertaining to deals, engagements, and other business operations matters

  • Identify opportunities in ambiguous specifications or project scope, build consensus around the roadmap, and work with clients and internal team to execute

  • Assist in the communication process between senior management, portfolio companies, partners, vendors, and personnel by organising meetings, scheduling calls, and drafting emails

  • Act as the key point of contact/key person in day-to-day interactions with portfolio companies key project team members

  • Monitor the progress of the assigned portfolio companies projects, ensuring all relevant aspects of a project are up to date, post relevant updates to move the project through the various stages until completion

  • Provide routine in-depth updates on the state and the progress all assigned projects to senior management, escalating issues, concerns, approaching deadlines, and any other relevant and key project health metrics

  • Identify and measure relevant KPIs to continuously improve and optimise future engagements Conduct industry analysis, market research, and track any relevant market developments to portfolio companies, competitor space, and prepare market overview reports for the Investment Committee, noting any potential opportunities, partnerships, etc.

  • Translate client needs into engineering, tech design, creative, or artistic design requirements

  • Develop and track KPIs and SLA for key business and project attributes


What You’ll Bring To The Team


We’re looking for a project-oriented individual with excellent organisational skills and a passion for structuring the unstructured.

  • 4+ years experience working as a technical project manager

  • Experience working in a software engineering, cloud or security environment

  • Ideally have relevant experience in high growth tech startup (games, blockchain, music, fintech, media, or similar)

  • A bachelor’s degree (or higher) with a strong academic record

  • Excellent organisation skills, ability to transform various engagements into clearly structured projects with set deliverables and deadlines

  • A passion for the startup, technology and venture capital scene

  • An ability to handle wide range of responsibilities with focus on project details, timelines, deliverables

  • An ability to pivot between strategic planning and tactical execution

  • Familiarity with SaaS implementations, technical integrations, software rollouts

  • A self starter who can handle work with high level guidelines

  • The continuous tactical engagement and planning to build an anticipatory process to scale within the portfolio company experiencing transformative change.

  • The operational aptitude to design, evolve, communicate and reinforce clear processes with a focus on efficiency, optimisation and scalability

  • The tenacity to push past obstacles on the path to delivery

  • Be able to work well in teams and independently

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • You should be very comfortable using online digital tools (**GSuite, Slack, Asana/Basecamp/Monday, Adobe C suite, MS Office, etc…)

  • General knowledge of the dynamic Blockchain industry and concepts a plus

  • Intellectual curiosity and an analytical mind to analyse and use data to support and convey perspectives, influence decision making, track and evaluate program success metrics, understand the effectiveness of programs and contextualise information to form strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
