Software Engineer - Blockchain for Blockscape:
- As a Software Engineer you will be part of the Blockscape team and responsible for the further development of our highly resilient and secure Validator infrastructure
- Together in an agile team you maintain and develop the internal tooling for our 20+ Proof-Of-Stake networks and blockchain bridges using Go
- You will drive new features with the team while contributing to the conception and selection of suitable technologies
- You will also develop high-performance interfaces, e.g. with REST or GraphQL
- You perform code reviews of pull / merge requests to continuously improve the know-how and the code quality in the team
- You extend the code with (automated) tests to save your colleagues from endless days of debugging and bug-fixing ;)
- In addition, you set impulses to optimize the development, continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) processes to bring our solutions to a new level in the long term
- You will take part of communication with open source users and contributors
- Constantly research and evaluate exciting new projects to join, so our clients can rely on our validator services throughout the web 3.0
What should you bring to the table?
- Great passion for programming and the topics around resource-efficient software development
- Strong programming skills with Go / Rust Programming language
- Strong understanding of concurrency, writing efficient and safe multithreaded code
- General understanding of how the blockchain consensus algorithms work – such as Proof of Stake, Proof of Work etc.
- Nice to have: Ideally experience with Cosmos SDK or developing smart contracts in any language
- Experience working with open-source projects
- Strong knowledge of standard algorithms and data structures
- You have a degree in computer science equivalent qualification with relevant work experience. No degree? You are also more than welcome to apply as a career changer and self-taught programmer
- Quality awareness with practical experience in testing concepts (e.g. unit, integration, etc.)
- Team player with a strong sense of responsibility
- Great communication skills with good knowledge of English and ideally German, both written and spoken
