You’ll be joining a growing team that currently includes 50+ people overall. This role is based in Berlin (🇩🇪), but we also have awesome teammates in A Coruna (🇪🇸), Zug (🇨🇭) and Lisbon (🇵🇹).


💻 About the role


As a PR & Communications Lead, you will be responsible for designing and implementing effective public relations strategies that will promote our company’s brand, products, and services and bolster and protect its reputation. You will be tasked with creating engaging content, managing media relations, and coordinating with senior internal stakeholders and developing key narratives that create an impact in the competitive landscape we operate in.


🗃️ What you will be doing



  • Develop and execute comprehensive PR and communications strategies to increase brand awareness, attract customers, and increase credibility as a blue-chip web3 project

  • Manage relationships with key journalists, influencers, and media outlets

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the marketing and product teams, to ensure consistent messaging across all channels

  • Coordinate responses to crises and own the external commentary strategy

  • Document Safe’s official positions on key topics internally to reduce stray comments

  • Act as a spokesperson for Safe, conducting media interviews and speaking at industry events

  • Liaise with media relationships to place Safe in important narratives (e.g Account Abstraction)

  • Create press releases and help Safe ecosystem with discoverability among media

  • Manage PR agency and review their impact and tasks

  • Train and up-skill internal contributors on key narratives and navigating public conduct


🎒 What you will bring



  • Established leader in Communications with at least 6 years professional experience

  • Strong track record working with start-ups and scale-ups, ideally in the fintech ecosystem

  • Confident liaising with media and journalists and comfortable leveraging industry connections

  • Experience setting up marketing and communication strategies and defining objectives/KPIs

  • Formerly managed and built-out a marketing team

  • Ability to craft long form press releases to a high standard of written English

  • Diplomatic communicator with the ability to assess and measure how narratives may be interpreted externally

  • Regulatory knowledge within fintech/web3; familiar with interpreting institutional regulations for comms implications

  • Proven experience managing crisis communications and handling negative publicity
