About the Role

We need someone who can make DeFi accessible without dumbing it down. You’ll build the entire front-end for a brand new DeFi product on Base while our contracts are still being written. This is NOT just a frontend role - you need to understand the smart contracts deeply and potentially contribute to them.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • Expert in React/Next.js + Web3 libraries (wagmi/viem or ethers)

  • Full-stack capabilities: Can write and debug Solidity, understand contract architecture

  • Deep understanding of contract interactions: multicall patterns, permit signatures, gas optimization strategies

  • Can build a DEX interface from scratch in a weekend

  • Portfolio showing DeFi dApps (not just NFT minting sites)

  • Understand impermanent loss, slippage, and gas optimization at a mathematical level

  • Can debug MetaMask issues at 2am without Stack Overflow

  • Active DeFi user (show us your DeFiLlama profile)

Responsibilities

  • Build our entire frontend from zero

  • Debug and potentially fix smart contract integration issues independently

  • Create extremely responsive, gas-efficient interfaces

  • Implement complex DeFi interactions (multi-step transactions, batched operations)

  • Contribute to contract interfaces and periphery contracts when needed

  • Work directly with smart contract team (no PM buffer)

  • Ship daily, break things, fix them faster

You’re Perfect If:

  • You’ve built a DEX aggregator interface in a weekend for fun

  • You can explain why certain RPC calls should never be made from the frontend

  • You’ve written your own multicall wrapper because existing ones weren’t good enough

  • Your browser has 20+ tabs open of different DeFi protocols for “research”

  • You’ve implemented account abstraction before it was cool

  • You can spot a rug pull from the frontend code alone

Open to discuss pay + equity.
