Role


Nomad Capital is seeking an Investment Research Engineer for our crypto fund to collaborate directly with world-class founders and to build meaningful projects. In this role, you’ll contribute by providing analyses in venture building, assessing our investment pipeline, participating in investment committee meetings, and building strong connections with industry leaders.


Responsibilities



  • Conduct technical diligence and quantitative, on-chain and transactional data analysis to evaluate market opportunities, trends, products and competitive benchmarking.

  • Prepare and publish research reports identifying trends, opportunities, and risks in specific sectors.

  • Draft research memos summarizing key findings, investment theses, and recommendations for the investment committee.

  • Proactively source new market opportunities and qualify inbound leads by engaging with founders.

  • Collaborate with the team to provide ongoing venture building and portfolio support.


Qualifications



  • Technical background or experience in data analytics and /programming, preferably experience in on-chain data analytics and blockchain infrastructure.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the crypto industry.

  • Strong understanding of blockchain technology and crypto culture, with experience analyzing white papers or crypto projects with a technical angle including foundational infrastructure, onchain data and transactions data.

  • Analytical and strategic thinking applied to investment decisions and portfolio management.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Excellent written and analytical skills for deal evaluation and internal reporting.

  • Proven proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving.
