Treasury Manager

Cryptosasa is Kenya’s first true cryptocurrency exchange and is about to go live.

Cryptosasa’s Treasury Manager will work closely with our top leadership to manage all treasury and cash management processes, including asset and liability management (ALM), cash flow monitoring, asset trading strategies and execution, financing (debt and/or equity), and liquidity risk management needs of the company.

This is not just another “Corporate Treasury” role and is expected to include broader financial support functions as needed. This position requires a thoughtful and enthusiastic professional who is passionate about creating best-in-class products and bringing Cryptosasa’s vision to life.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Propose and implement balance sheet optimization strategies and operational enhancements that can scale with the needs of the business


• Develop and execute treasury strategies


• Develop and execute liability management strategies, potentially including trading and hedging


• Play a strategic role in the implementation of cash and crypto routing strategies in support of the exchange


• Coordinate with finance, engineering, risk management, and customer support teams to build and monitor customer cash flow processes


• Assist with financing needs, whether debt or equity, as needed


• Create our transaction flows, both for Cryptosasa and our customers


• Forecast and report on key balance sheet metrics including fiat and crypto liquidity, cash burn, and other financial ratios key to our business


• Enhance or develop reporting tools used to communicate various components and potential risks and risk-mitigating strategies


• Other duties as assigned

Why We’ll Love You

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another quantitative field


• 5+ years of progressive Treasury experience


• Solid understanding of and experience with cash flow modelling and liquidity risk management best practices


• Hands-on expertise in corporate treasury processes including cash management, exposure management, debt/equity financing


• Subject matter expertise on forex trading, including hands-on trading expertise and knowledge of the related hedge accounting requirements


• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance team members


• Team player – willingness to pitch in and assist non-Treasury colleagues on tangential projects as we work towards our shared mission


• Demonstrated ability to see processes beyond the short term and plan for rapid scaling


• A background in Banks, Forex’s or in FinTech’s is helpful but not required for this position


• At least a basic knowledge of Cryptocurrencies is a plus
