Dapp Engineer

We are looking for a Dapp Engineer that can help us extend the DeFi capabilities of our Interlay and Kintsugi cross-chain networks. You will ship new features to our users by leveraging our existing front-end library, SDK, and GraphQL layer.

You are excited by the composable nature of DeFi and pushing the boundaries of Kusama and Polkadot by bringing assets like Bitcoin into the mix. You are not afraid to dive into other DeFi protocols to understand how they could enhance the Kintsugi and Interlay networks.

You are our perfect candidate if you have a strong track record of building Dapps iteratively leveraging existing libraries. You are confident in working across different technologies like React, GraphQL, and Node.js to compose features quickly. You are both a passionate software engineer that cares deeply about shipping a product as well as a great communicator that values teamwork in an agile and remote environment.

What you will do

• Implement new features for our Interlay/Kintsugi networks to increase its DeFi capabilities


• Support extending and improving the existing tech stack including front-end, SDK, and GraphQL layer


• Support the prioritization and coordinating of new features including integrations with other projects and novel research together with the team


• Review pull requests of other team members and give constructive feedback to refactor/improve our current implementation


• Drive our open-source efforts to release useful libraries back to the open-source community (e.g., our monetary lib)

Requirements

• Proven DeFi application building experience with existing frameworks


• Proven 2+ years experience in implementing and maintaining TypeScript projects including React front-end applications and TypeScript libraries


• A strong desire to iterate fast and ship the product to the community as often as possible


• Thorough application of testing best practices and basic CI/CD understanding


• Enjoy working in agile teams by applying outstanding communication and planning skills

Nice to have

• You have experience in testing automation and devops tools such as Docker, Datadog…


• You have experience with React


• Prior work with Layer 1 SDKs including polkadot.js and/or ethers.js
