Fully Remote

The TIE is currently a close-knit group of about 40 crypto-native professionals who are passionate about the institutionalization of crypto. Put simply, we are the premier information services provider for digital assets. Our clients include leading hedge funds, trading venues, market makers, and tokens issuers.

While we are growing quickly and expanding our product suite, you can best understand us through our SigDev™ terminal and Token Labs offering.

  1. SigDev™ institutional data terminal: Bloomberg-like data terminal for crypto that includes our proprietary social sentiment, blockchain data, and news feeds

  2. Token Labs: Analytics consulting for token issuers

We’re backed by top-tier investors and retain the capital, customers, and team required to scale. We love crypto and we’re excited about our role in its global proliferation.

The position:

We’re looking for an exceptional individual to join our Token Labs team and help us provide the analytics that allow our token issuer clients to make informed and data-driven decisions. In this position you will utilize The TIE’s suite of proprietary analytics tools to prepare for and lead weekly meetings with important stakeholders at token issuer organizations (co-founders, marketing, product leads, etc.). You will be the point-person for a group of token issuer clients and develop deep relationships with leading protocols. Prototypical questions you will become an expert in addressing via the usage of our analytics tools:

  1. How did social conversation around our client (Twitter mentions, YouTube likes, TikTok plays, etc.) respond to a smart contract announcement last week? How did the responses compare to a similar announcement by a competitor last month?

  2. What country/region accounted for an uptick in Twitter conversation last night? How does the answer impact social media marketing and announcement strategy for the next two weeks?

The TIE is located in New York City. Applicants who can work in person are strongly preferred, but remote candidates will also be considered.

Who you are:

  • You are fascinated with crypto and how it can change our world. Prior professional experience in crypto is a plus but not needed.

  • You write and speak well. You take pride in your ability to communicate complex narratives with clarity and coherence.

  • You are not satisfied with unqualified opinions and must support your assertions with data. You can pool together figures to create a compelling Powerpoint presentation.

  • You have a basic understanding of statistics and how data should be used to influence decision-making (correlation vs. causation, common statistical and data biases (e.g. survivorship bias), measures of center/spread).

  • You thrive in a start-up environment where there are always new projects and challenges. While day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around supporting token issuer clients, you will have the opportunity to learn different functional areas of the business working side-by-side with the founders and business partners, and interacting with customers.

  • You are creative and possess an entrepreneurial mindset. You’re self-driven and will be able to work in both a team environment and work independently towards solutions.

  • You have the versatility and interest to learn new technologies.

What you’ll work on:

  • Use our proprietary data and analytics tools to prepare for and lead weekly Token Labs meetings, during which we help some of the largest token-issuers optimize their decision-making.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the rest of the Token Labs analyst team, data scientists, and researchers.

  • Interface with our research team to write and contribute to research reports, media outlets, and other publications.

What we offer:

  • Competitive compensation

  • Employee stock option plan

  • Health, dental, vision, and disability insurance

  • Flexible paid time off

  • Flexible working hours

  • A fast-paced and exciting work environment

  • Strong teamwork-driven culture

How to apply:

If the above is galvanizing and the role looks like a fit we’d love to get to know you and explore you joining the team.

Please send your resume (and optionally your degen score) to Jackson Moss - jackson@thetie.io at The TIE on Find Web3).
