Impact Theory is a freakishly ambitious LA-based digital studio, committed to telling stories of empowerment and human potential. We currently produce a wide variety of scripted, unscripted, and digital content for OTT streamers, YouTube, Spotify, WEBTOON, podcasts, and our own internal online learning platform. All of Impact Theory’s content is focused on entertaining and empowering people the world over. If Disney sought to build the most magical brand on earth, we are endeavoring to create the most empowering brand on earth - without sacrificing the entertainment factor.

We are embarking on our newest venture into the Blockchain gaming and the NFT space and are building a world class team in the process. Impact Theory is seeking an experienced Director of Community to lead our company’s community building efforts as we transition from a Web2 to Web3 company. In the last 5 years, we have built a social ecosystem of over 6 million people, and growing, with over half a billion video views across the internet. The Director of Community will lead all of Impact Theory’s community strategies and initiatives while leading a team of Community Managers.

  • Lead a team of community managers to create the best online community experiences across our different platforms

  • Develop clear objectives for each of Impact Theory communities

  • Work with your team to make sure initiatives and experiments are completed effectively at the highest level

  • Seek out innovative strategies to engage and add immense value for our community and reinforce their emotional connection with the Impact Theory brand

  • Analyze and leverage quantitative and qualitative data every week to continuously optimize the strategy


  • 5+ years of marketing/community building experience

  • 4+ years of hands-on management experience

  • Lead or have managed a social community of over 100k people/followers

  • Deep expertise in community building across social media platforms and Discord

  • Excellent knowledge of how human psychology works at an individual level and how communities work at scale

  • Experience with the best practices and what to avoid within current NFT/crypto communities

  • Ability to calmly resolve hyper-sensitive conflicts between members in the community and quickly re-align the group back to productive discourse and Impact Theory initiatives

  • Emotional intelligence

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Team player

  • Good time-management skills

  • Great interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
