Job Description


We are seeking a dedicated Web3 Security Researcher to join our team and play a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security risks within our blockchain ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as an auditor and deep technical knowledge of blockchain technologies.


Responsibilities



  • Conduct in-depth security research on ZetaChain’s protocol, smart contracts, and associated Web3 technologies

  • Collaborate with the development team to perform a security review on high risk PRs and implement other security improvements

  • Develop and implement innovative security testing methodologies specific to blockchain and DeFi environments

  • Analyze new and emerging attack vectors in the Web3 space and assess their potential impact on ZetaChain

  • Contribute to the company’s bug bounty program by validating and triaging reported vulnerabilities

  • Stay current with the latest developments in blockchain security and share knowledge with the team

  • Participate in security audits and penetration testing exercises

  • Assist in developing security guidelines and documentation for the ZetaChain ecosystem


Requirements



  • Location: Remote (US or CET Timezones)

  • 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on blockchain and Web3 technologies

  • Previous experience auditing Go code is required

  • Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, smart contract vulnerabilities, and DeFi-specific security risks

  • Proficiency in languages relevant to blockchain development and security (e.g., Solidity, Go, JavaScript)

  • Experience with security tools and techniques specific to blockchain environments

  • Familiarity with common attack vectors in Web3, such as flash loan attacks, reentrancy, and oracle manipulation

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with the Cosmos SDK and inter-blockchain communication protocols

  • Contributions to open-source blockchain security tools or research

  • Background in cryptography and its applications in blockchain technology

  • Participation in bug bounty programs or capture-the-flag (CTF) competitions

  • Experience implementing automated security tools
