Lead Artist - Gaming

We are looking for a Lead Artist to join us at Knock Knock Games. The KKG team has just launched Vy Worlds, a new IMX blockchain based UGC game with playable NFT! Vy Worlds is a Web3 gaming platform designed for the next billion blockchain gamers. Vy Worlds feature Vy NFT characters and exist within the Vy Verse. We believe that User Generated Content (UGC) is already an important part of the gaming market (think ROBLOX, Minecraft, Fortnite’s Creator Mode) and is poised to become an essential part of the crypto gaming ecosystem in the future.

This position is FT remote. The team is primarily located in San Francisco, CA and Toronto Canada, sharing PST or EST time zones is preferred.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Define, maintain, and communicate the visual goals for the project


• Manage and provide art direction on all aspects of our games visual design, UI, & marketing assets


• Generate concept designs and illustrations


• Create paint-overs, mockups, or draw overs to illustrate changes and improvements to the games visuals


• Coordinate and collaborate directly with Engineering, Product, and Design departments on the execution and overall creative vision of our games


• Manage scheduling, communications and assignments with external partners for both asset production and marketing


• Provide ongoing creative feedback for 2D concept, 3D art, and Animation disciplines


• Ensure visual cohesion and best practices across the artistic departments on the team and communicate them via documentation, presentations, and mentoring


• Scope art for new features


• Support the growth of our community with assets for posts across several platforms


• Market research of the latest trends in the emerging genre of Block-Chain gaming to match evolving player expectations and innovations

Qualifications:

• Passionate about Web 3, Crypto, Block Chain, & NFT technologies


• 1-3 published game titles


• Strong Photoshop skills


• 2+ years in a Lead or Senior art role


• Strong organization and asset tracking skills


• Ability to take shifting targets and adjust priorities accordingly

Nice to have:

• Experience with JIRA, Figma, and Notion


• Experience working with IP holders as partners


• Experience or love of UGC content like Roblox


• Hands on experience with 3D rendering programs
