About Gaming Jobs
This page lists Web3 gaming jobs at blockchain game studios, publishers, game infrastructure companies and the guilds and platforms around them. Listings cover game engineering, game design, art and animation, producing, community management, esports and player support.
Studios hire on shipped work. For engineering and design that means a build, a mod or a credit on a released title; for art it means a portfolio; for community it means a server or channel you have grown. Chain knowledge is a plus rather than a gate on most teams, though economy design and item ownership roles will ask about it directly.
What jobs are there in Web3 gaming?
Studios hire the same crafts as any game company: gameplay and backend engineers, technical artists, 3D and 2D artists, animators, game designers, producers, QA, community managers and player support. Web3 adds a few specialties, such as token and item economy design, smart contract engineering, and partnerships with chains and marketplaces. Guilds and platforms also hire operations and growth staff.
Can I move from traditional games into Web3 gaming?
Yes. The craft is the same, and your released titles carry more weight than chain experience. Be ready to talk about how an item economy changes design decisions like drop rates, crafting and trading, since that is where the two kinds of studio differ most. Learning the basics of wallets, marketplaces and token supply is usually enough preparation for a first interview.
Do Web3 gaming jobs pay in tokens?
Sometimes, in part. Pay can be salary plus equity, salary plus a token grant that vests, or contract work with a larger token component, and listings differ on which they offer. Ask what the salary alone comes to, how any tokens vest, and when they can be sold, since those terms decide what the offer is actually worth.
