About Blockchain Jobs

This page lists blockchain jobs at the companies building chains, nodes, bridges, developer tools and the applications that run on them. The listings cover engineering most of all, but also product, design, sales, support and the operations work that keeps a network and its users running.

Blockchain careers split roughly into protocol work and application work. Protocol teams ask for Rust, Go or C++, cryptography and distributed systems; application teams ask for Solidity, TypeScript and frameworks like Hardhat, Foundry or ethers.js. Read the stack in a listing before applying, since the two paths ask different questions at interview.

What does a blockchain developer do?

A blockchain developer writes and maintains the code that runs on or alongside a chain. On the application side that means smart contracts, the tests around them and the web app that calls them. On the protocol side it means consensus, networking, node software and client performance. Most listings say which side they mean in the first few lines of the description.

What skills do blockchain jobs ask for?

For engineering roles, the common asks are Solidity or Rust, JavaScript or TypeScript, Git, testing, and some understanding of how transactions, gas and wallets work. Security matters more than in most software work, so audits, known attack patterns and careful handling of upgrades come up in interviews. Non-engineering listings usually ask for experience with technical products rather than coding.

Can I get a blockchain job without blockchain experience?

Yes, and it is a common route. Employers hiring for application work often accept strong general software experience and expect you to pick up the chain-specific parts, especially if you have shipped something on a testnet or contributed to an open repo. Outside engineering, experience in fintech, gaming or a marketplace business transfers well. Start with /jobs/engineering or /jobs/non-tech depending on the work you want.
