About DAO Jobs
This page collects DAO jobs: paid roles at decentralized autonomous organizations, including core contributor positions, governance and delegate work, grants and treasury operations, community and communications, plus the engineering and design work behind a DAO's product and tooling.
DAOs hire differently from companies. Many start you on a scoped contract or a grant rather than a salaried offer, decisions are made in public forums and votes, and pay is sometimes part token. Look at how a group decides and how it pays before you commit, and treat a public proposal as part of your application: showing up with useful work is a common way in.
What is a DAO job?
It is paid work for a decentralized autonomous organization: a group that coordinates through on-chain voting and a shared treasury instead of a traditional company structure. Contributors handle the same things employees do, such as engineering, design, writing, community, operations and finance, but the scope and budget are usually approved by a vote. Some DAOs also hire through an associated company or foundation.
How do you get paid working for a DAO?
Usually through a contributor agreement, a grant or a recurring stream from the treasury, paid in stablecoins, the DAO's own token, or a mix. Because you are often a contractor rather than an employee, benefits and tax withholding are your responsibility, and token pay may vest over a schedule rather than arriving up front. Ask how payment is approved and how often it is reviewed before you start.
How do I start contributing to a DAO?
Read the governance forum and the recent proposals, then join the working group closest to your skill and take a small task that has an owner and a deadline. Most DAOs publish an onboarding page or a contributor guide that lists open bounties. Applying to a posted role here works too, and a track record of finished tasks makes that application much stronger.
