Why we are Recruiting


The Forum’s Blockchain & Digital Assets platform aims to define, through a process of international multi-stakeholder dialogue and cooperation, policy and governance interventions that can accelerate the benefits and mitigate the risks of these innovations. This is a cross-cutting role and project area, as these topics are core to Web3 and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The Specialist will join a high-profile team working to shape the trajectory of this emerging area, maximizing benefit to society while also reducing risks.


Reporting Lines & Interactions


The Specialist will work in partnership with the Deputy Head of the C4IR Network, and teams across the Forum, to help drive project delivery, community building, and engaging constituents in the development of new globally-oriented policy and governance frameworks. This role will place you on the front line of engaging with global leaders driving the trajectory of these innovations. The Specialist will also collaborate with teams working on financial systems, the metaverse, and digital trade, among others, and will work with countries around the globe.


Breakdown of Responsibilities


The Specialist will play a key role facilitating engagement across the Forum’s existing global communities of business executives, leading academicians from the world’s top research universities, government officials, start-up community, media, civil society organizations, social entrepreneurs, and Centre Partners. The position is based in San Francisco and will work closely with teams in New York and Geneva.



  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment to create and maintain project plans and timelines that support the platform, and determine tasks, due dates, and milestones in concert with the team’s objectives.

  • Excel as a collaborator for team-led initiatives and projects.

  • Drive effective project coordination, through a highly collaborative approach and effective project and process management, communication, and reporting.

  • Craft and execute strategies for community engagement within projects.

  • Support project design and research efforts.

  • Help ensure coordination and consistency across efforts at the Forum.

  • Assist in effective communication and engagement with current and prospective partners, including building the platform’s Technology Pioneer and Global Innovators communities.

  • Analyze complex policy issues in order to update important team documents and data in Salesforce and other digital platforms, create Power Point presentations based on those issues, track project progress, drive projects forward and plan for next steps.

  • Develop team-related processes as required and act as a point-person to share knowledge across the team and Forum.

  • Collaborate with the Events team to manage event logistics for Regional and Annual Forum meetings (both virtual and in-person), external workshops and stakeholder meetings organized by the team.

  • Use digital and traditional media to disseminate content and generate interest in the team’s activities and create content for Forum’s digital platforms to distribute within the Forum community, which include internal and external stakeholders.

  • Lead segments of project delivery.

  • Track trends in the development of blockchain and digital assets and ongoing efforts related to governance to define gaps in current policy frameworks.

  • Engage and coordinate public and private partners from industry, government, academia, international organizations and civil society in the delivery of projects.


Preferred Requirements and Experience



  • Master’s degree and 2-3 years’ experience, or equivalent, required.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience working in blockchain and digital assets (technical experience is not required).

  • Strategic and creative skills in project management, community management, research, writing and presentation.

  • Knowledge of and interest in technology and the blockchain and digital assets ecosystem, including key governing bodies, decision makers, and leading private sector companies operating in the space Experience working on matters involving administrative and coordination support.

  • Comfort driving entrepreneurial projects.

  • Outstanding command of written and spoken English; knowledge of other languages would be an asset.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, MS Office Suite, and project management tools.


Vaccination requirement


The Forum requires that employees be fully vaccinated with at least one booster against COVID-19 by their first day of employment. The Forum will evaluate all requests for accommodation/exemption from this policy in keeping with federal, state, and local law.
