Obscuro taps into DeFi, NFTs, gaming and everything Web3.0, one of the first true ‘killer apps’ for public blockchains, and provides a platform for many commercial and personal use-cases where smart contracts need to be executed confidentially. This is in contrast to all other smart contract platforms, with one or two exceptions, where they rely on the entire network seeing all transactions. Community building is crucial to Obscuro’s success. You are a star performer at nurturing a community of application developers, application users, technologists, potential investors and crypto enthusiasts to build high levels of engagement and excitement for Obscuro. Being able to determine the optimum strategies and platforms that will best support community-building will be critical to being successful in your role. You identify and define your mission, goals and success criteria, and create guiding principles to create the most motivated and hyper-active DeFi community in the world.

We are looking for a candidate that is obsessed with delivering the most customer-centric experiences on the planet, showing proven success in ownership, bias for action, and thinking big. You will need to exhibit excellent judgement, prioritizing between campaigns, events and community contributors (Super Frens) across global time zones. We are looking for a strong sense of ownership and a communicator who can share their vision with senior stakeholders, but also be part of a team to dive deep into details to make your ideas a reality. You will have a track record delivering outstanding community growth ideas at scale in emerging spaces, and are passionate about blockchain, DeFi and Web3.0.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Expand community participants organically or through paid growth. This will include partnering with other projects for mutual amplification of joint community campaigns.

  • Recruit and manage ambassadors for Obscuro in other like-minded communities.

  • Build a welcoming community by encouraging member-to-member conversations for people to make meaningful bonds on and offline.

  • Stay up to date, make recommendations, implement and manage the latest tools and products to foster engagement and member connections.

  • Use strong technical acumen to dissect and simplify complicated technical problems for a broad audience of differing levels of knowledge.

  • Track, measure and analyze the reach, engagement and conversion from your actions to understand which pieces perform best for Obscuro.

  • Lead moderation of conflicting opinions amongst hyper-involved and competitive contributors and recognize the members who contribute to the community and exemplify your ideal participatory culture.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and in-depth understanding of long-term business needs and the competitive environment provide context to help recommend enhancements and alternative or innovative solutions.

  • Able to work independently and effectively in a results-oriented environment and often use judgement to make decisions of high complexity and impact. Relies on limited guidance for effective decision-making.

  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of the Obscuro team.

  • High levels of emotional intelligence.

  • Excellent written communication and verbal skills.

  • Prepared to travel globally.


  • Minimum 2 years of proven community management experience in the DeFi / crypto / Web3.0 space

  • Familiarity with both online and offline marketing activities.

  • Expert at administering and managing Discord, Telegram and Twitter.
