Flipside Crypto is a rapidly scaling tech startup servicing the blockchain/crypto market…this means we assess, decide and adapt our business radically quickly. We are adding a Director of Marketing to our team to lead our content-driven growth strategies.


This is an incredibly exciting, high priority, new role, where you will have the opportunity to create our marketing agenda. The successful candidate will have a firm grasp on marketing analytics with a solid understanding of marketing fundamentals, particularly content, organic social, and product marketing. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be charged with developing a high performing engine to drive awareness of the data and insights developed by our community of tens of thousands of data analysts. You will develop the strategic plan, and drive execution to optimize for rapid growth of new community members and increased visibility of our analysts’ output, getting new eyes throughout the industry focused on the thousands of high-quality insights produced by our community.


As part of a small, entrepreneurial team you will work closely with members of the Marketing team as well as many other teams at Flipside to leverage your full range of strategic, analytical and creative skills to achieve our business goals.


Responsibilities



  • Build our brand awareness and user acquisition strategies leveraging our community outputs, driving virality and exposure of our analyst community and their work produced with our data

  • Analyze program performance, identify trends, and create opportunities for improvement while quickly reacting to data from ongoing programs

  • Tracking, analyzing and reporting on KPIs and insights

  • Identifying new opportunities and emerging channels to help grow our business and brand

  • Understand customer journeys, take ownership of the relationship with customers and find ways to expand them.

  • Strategically design our marketing tech stack and channel investment, building from the ground up to develop the right coverage on core channels, from scaling existing channels to identifying, launching and optimizing new verticals


Requirements



  • 7+ years experience leading marketing initiatives in technology, with focus on content, product and organic channels

  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or other analytical tools; comfort in drawing conclusions from data and making recommendations based on imperfect information

  • High degree of comfort navigating ambiguity and tackling white space

  • Demonstrated experience owning and executing a strategy to drive tangible results across teams in a high-growth, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environment

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to leverage data from a multitude of sources to tell a persuasive story, tailor communication style based on the audience, and influence others

  • “Get stuff done” attitude – willingness to roll up your sleeves and engage deeply with analysts and managers, across multiple teams and agendas, to accomplish what needs to be done

  • Strong creative judgment; experience successfully collaborating with Creative teams a plus

  • Experience in a crypto organization is not required, but a big advantage in understanding the unique messaging, culture and ethos of this market
