Global Income Coin (GIC) is looking for a software engineer to help realize our vision of giving every living human on earth a dollar per day of basic income. In this role you will be responsible for distributing GIC tokens to eligible humans - we’ll start small, but have the ambition to scale globally quickly. As GIC is in its infancy you will have the opportunity to create technology that forms the beating heart of GIC’s vision: distributing coins to everyone.


You will join a fully remote team (members currently based out of San Francisco and Amsterdam) working towards launching Global Income Coin in early 2022.


Ideal candidate ships


Our ideal candidate has the following characteristics:



  • Experience creating a technology product from scratch

  • Experience building on top of a blockchain - bonus points for an Ethereum-compatible chain

  • Experience implementing & maintaining web application security practices

  • Strong computer science fundamentals

  • Prioritizes pragmatism over perfectionism

  • Excited about creating something entirely new

  • Self-starter that takes ownership

  • Embraces full remote work
