Backend Developer

At Luna, we introduce brands to the Metaverse. We strategize with our clients from tech to creative development so that we build digital goods focused on utility and interoperability within the Metaverse. We are now building an NFT platform to support brands in the Metaverse through gaming utility and interoperability.

We work with the largest brands in the world to make NFTs. We recently did the Genesis Curry Flow drop with Under Armour & Steph Curry to deliver high-quality NFTs with a laser focus on utility and community. The drop sold out in less than 5 minutes, raising over $1M for charity and achieving over $8M in secondary trading volume. We have since grown our team to do more with premium brands around the world.

Luna has an exciting opportunity for a contract Backend Developer to complete a variety of projects and assignments.

This is a 2-month contract role. 100% remote work, $65.00 to $95.00 per hour.

What you’ll do…

• Improve the performance and scalability of the companies API


• Build and automate the features and services that model complex business problems and power enterprise-scale systems


• Design and create services and systems architecture for various projects


• Improve code quality by writing unit tests and completing code reviews


• Create internal APIs to support our own projects like our site


• Assess project or assignment details


• Adhere to individualized budgets and requirements


• Communicate updates and issues that arise with supervisors, managers, or other team members

What you’ll bring…

• Proficiency in Typescript/Javascript


• Advanced knowledge and experience with AWS tools and technologies


• Need to know Blockchain but primarily focused on backend


• Experience in building products using databases, messaging queues, API, websockets etc.


• Experience with MongoDB and Mongoose


• 1+ years of working with web3.js


• 4+ years of experience creating scalable software solutions in MERN stack


• Experience integrating 3rd party APIs


• Experience working in a scrum environment
