COO (Fractional) @ perp dex

We are an early-stage team building a verifiable execution layer for next-generation markets, with a high-performance perpetual DEX as its first native application. Unlike existing exchanges that can only prove settlement, our execution layer provides cryptographic proof of how every trade is executed—covering the matching engine, price formation, transaction sequencing, and all critical on- and off-chain logic.

The goal is to compete with the most advanced DEXs by combining high performance with cryptographic and system-level verifiability, rather than relying on opaque or trust-heavy designs.

We’re looking for a fractional COO / hands-on operating advisor to work directly with the founders and help turn vision into execution. This is a builder role, not a passive advisory seat. You’ll be embedded with the team, shaping how we ship, operate, and scale — without corporate overhead.

What You’ll Do

• Turn founder priorities into clear execution plans and milestones


• Run lightweight operating cadence (weekly planning, follow-ups, retros)


• Unblock teams across engineering, product, and BD


• Support protocol launches, upgrades, and incident response


• Provide operator-level input on:

  • Liquidity, market makers, incentives
  
  
  • On-chain risk and scaling trade-offs
  
  
  
  


• Support ecosystem ops (partners, infra, market makers) as needed


• Coordinate compliance and accounting workflows, including:
  
  
  • Working with external legal, tax, and accounting partners
  
  
  • Supporting entity ops, jurisdictional considerations, and basic governance processes
  
  
  • Helping maintain clean operational and financial hygiene without over-lawyering or over-accounting
  
  
  
  

Who You Are

• Crypto-native operator with 4–7 years in DeFi / trading infra


• Experience at early-stage startups (seed → Series A)


• Previously in roles like:

  • Chief of Staff–type operator
  
  
  
  


• Comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and hands-on execution


• Low ego, high judgment, founder-level ownership mindset

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with crypto-native compliance constraints (DEXs, offshore entities, token operations)


• Experience coordinating with external legal, tax, or accounting firms


• Understanding of market structure, perps, MEV, or professional trading flows


• Prior fractional or advisory operating experience
