The Role


We are growing our Applicative Engineering function and seeking Engineering Managers to take ownership of one of a number of key products or services.


As an Engineering Manager you will lead a squad of engineers to build and deliver major blockchain innovations across applications such as or across our core blockchain infrastructure.


The key impact across the role will be: People, Product and Technology. While its a non coding role you’ll be using your ingrained fundamentals to support your team in solving new complex problems in an emerging domain.


You’ll shape the roadmap for application-layer development, champion engineering excellence, and ensure the Tezos is the most robust and accessible foundation for building real-world blockchain products.


What you’ll do



  • Support and lead a high-performing team of engineers in both technical and people leadership

  • Drive a positive work environment based on ownership, productivity and impact

  • Own the technical roadmap, planning and coordinating project delivery with Product teams aligning the focus on fast execution and high quality solutions

  • Proactively lead deep technical discussions on system design and problem solving to come up with innovative solutions

  • Advocate for the team’s technical interests, needs and development opportunities

  • Support performance management process to recognise high performance and support those who are struggling

  • Drive efficient and effective collaboration with other teams in the company and in the ecosystem


What you’ll need



  • Experience managing high performing engineers in technical organisations or scale up(s)

  • Demonstrable interest or curiosity in Blockchain technology

  • Must have strong fundamentals in Computer Science (Competitive programming or equivalent) and still have an interest in building things now

  • Significant prior experience as a senior software engineer building products used by developers or users

  • Successfully led the development of complex technical solutions, taking ownership of solutions, deadlines and delivery

  • Strong and effective communicator with technical and non-technical teams
