Job description
About Chainlink
Chainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform bringing the capital markets onchain and powering the majority of decentralized finance (DeFi). The Chainlink stack provides the essential data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy standards needed to power advanced blockchain use cases for institutional tokenized assets, lending, payments, stablecoins, and more. Since inventing decentralized oracle networks, Chainlink has enabled tens of trillions in transaction value and now secures the vast majority of DeFi.
Many of the world’s largest financial services institutions have also adopted Chainlink’s standards and infrastructure, including Swift, Euroclear, Mastercard, Fidelity International, UBS, S&P Dow Jones Indices, FTSE Russell, WisdomTree, ANZ, and top protocols such as Aave, Lido, GMX and many others. Chainlink leverages a novel fee model where offchain and onchain revenue from enterprise adoption is converted to LINK tokens and stored in a strategic Chainlink Reserve. Learn more at chain.link.
About the Role
We are seeking a Partnerships Lead to develop and grow our banking and capital markets partner ecosystem across North America. You will own relationships with financial technology providers and infrastructure firms, building partnerships that expand adoption of Chainlink’s solutions and generate qualified commercial opportunities through integrations and joint go-to-market activity. You will bring strong financial-services experience, a track record of delivering commercial partnerships, and the ability to connect emerging technologies with institutional business needs.
Your Impact
Partner Acquisition: Deep focus on signing mutually exclusive deals with our highest-priority partners
Joint Business Development: Developing and executing joint go-to-market strategies and business plans to drive mutual revenue growth and brand visibility.
Day-to-day partner management of priority partners servicing the tokenisation and TradFi operations workflows, including developing and cultivating deep relationships with key decision makers to create clear value alignment and mutually beneficial value propositions
Embed Chainlink technology + products in partner operationalising flows and technology stacks
Drive early-stage pipeline generation at scale through targeted discovery and qualification based on understanding of entity needs
Requirements
10+ years total experience, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the banking and capital markets industry, institutional finance, business development, partnerships or related fields, with a strong understanding of TradFi and DeFi markets and their tech infrastructure
Experience working in a startup/fintech or fast-paced environment with evidence of converting high work ethic into standout personal and team results
Strong relationship management ability to identify, build, nurture and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients and partners
Preferred Requirements
Relevant partnership experience: Experience building commercial or technology partnerships with core banking platforms, financial software providers, market utilities, or asset servicers, including joint go-to-market activity, integrations, and partner-generated commercial opportunities.
Ownership of complex partnership delivery: Ability to manage multiple priority partnerships independently, coordinating business, technical, and legal stakeholders through negotiation, signing, and activation, with clear accountability for progress and outcomes.
Institutional digital-assets knowledge: Understanding of how tokenisation, interoperability, and data solutions can support financial institutions and their technology providers, including the commercial and operational barriers to adoption.
