Job description
We are a tight-knit yet globally distributed team of highly experienced engineers and business leaders, with hubs in New York, London, Singapore, and Cyprus. You’ll be part of a hybrid-friendly environment where your unique talents and insights will play a crucial role in building something extraordinary.
The Role
We are seeking a Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager to own financial reporting and audits across our multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction group. Reporting to the Global Controller, you will be the bridge between our business and our financial statements. You’ll turn new products and revenue streams, from SaaS subscriptions to digital asset trading and prediction markets, into sound accounting positions and scalable processes. This is a hands-on role for someone who can think from first principles where no playbook exists and still deliver audit-ready financial statements to deadline.
Responsibilities
Own preparation of consolidated and statutory financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures under US GAAP, including multi-currency consolidation and FX translation.
Lead the group external audit and around five international statutory audits (including Ireland and Singapore), managing timelines, requests, and the resolution of open items.
Research and document technical positions on complex and non-routine transactions, and present them to auditors, up to national office level.
Partner with Sales, Legal, RevOps, and FP&A to define the accounting, billing, and reporting treatment for new products and revenue streams.
Support technical workstreams including revenue recognition (ASC 606), digital assets (ASC 350-60), leases (ASC 842), share-based compensation (ASC 718), and M&A (ASC 805/810).
Work closely with Operational Accounting to ensure the close produces accurate, reconciled inputs for reporting.
Drive improvements to the reporting process, including disclosure automation, reporting tools such as Workiva, and AI-enabled workflows.
Maintain accounting policies and contribute to ICFR documentation as the business scales.
Support regulatory reporting for regulated entities, including broker-dealer reporting and CIMA VASP returns.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including Big 4 (or comparable) audit experience at Senior or Manager level and 2+ years in industry.
- Strong US GAAP knowledge, with hands-on experience applying ASC 606 and other complex standards.
- A proven track record of preparing consolidated financial statements and disclosures, not only reviewing them.
- Experience leading external audits, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong technical writing skills, including memos and position papers that stand up to auditor scrutiny.
- Experience in SaaS or technology. Exposure to financial services, trading, or digital assets is a strong plus.
- Comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to reason from first principles where guidance is limited.
- Clear communication with non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong Excel skills. Experience with Sage Intacct, Workiva, FloQast, or AI tools is a plus.
- CPA or ACA/ACCA preferred.
Benefits
You will also enjoy a comprehensive array of competitive benefits, regardless of your location, within our warm, welcoming, and ambitious company culture. Some of our benefits include:
