What we're looking for

BCB Payments (Europe) is looking for someone who is naturally curious, who wants to understand how things work rather than simply follow a process. You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive team where people ask questions, share knowledge and help each other succeed. You’ll ideally:

  • Be curious and inquisitive, asking questions and digging into the "why" behind an issue, not just the immediate fix

  • Have sharp attention to detail, taking ownership of accuracy, organisation and getting things right

  • Have a growth mindset, seeing gaps in knowledge as opportunities to learn and develop

  • Be a natural problem solver, taking ownership and following issues through to resolution

  • Be collaborative and supportive, contributing positively to the team and being willing to help others

  • Build strong relationships, with clear communication and good interpersonal skills across internal and external stakeholders

  • Be proactive and outcome-focused, taking initiative and focusing on getting the job done rather than being clock driven

  • Stays calm and effective while juggling multiple work streams under pressure

  • Be flexible, including with working hours where required

  • Be Paris-based or within commutable distance, to support our 1-2 days/week in-office policy

Key responsibilities

  • Match FX and crypto trade details between counterparties and internal systems, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

  • Execute settlement procedures for FX and crypto trades in accordance with industry standards and regulation

  • Monitor settlement queues and liaise with banking partners to chase up outstanding items

  • Maintain accurate records of trade and settlement activity, ensuring compliance with regulatory documentation requirements

  • Communicate settlement statuses and respond to queries across internal teams, clients, and external service providers

  • Identify and escalate potential risks related to trade settlements

  • Assist clients and client facing teams with trading and settlement queries in a timely manner

Experience-wise, we'd love to see:

  • Some demonstrable experience in a similar settlements or trade support role

  • An understanding and experience with payments rails such as FPS, CHAPS, FEDWIRE, SEPA & SWIFT is an advantage

  • Experience within FinTech, Payments or Banking preferred, given the nature of the role

Pay range and compensation package

Salary Range: €30,000 - €45,000

  • 25 days holiday plus 10 days RTT

  • Hybrid Working (1-2 days in our Paris office)

  • Private Healthcare through Entoria

  • Company Pension

  • Enhanced parental leave

  • 50% travel card reimbursement

  • Teleworking allowance
