The team interfaces externally with regulators and service providers to safeguard CDC from legal liabilities. Focus areas include Commercial and Regulatory/ Product.

This UK-based Commercial Legal Counsel role sits within the HQ Commercial Legal Team and reports to the SVP, Legal. You will be a self-starter with a strong passion for financial innovation, comfortable working cross-functionally across global business lines, and excited about Crypto.com's mission. You will own end-to-end commercial contracting for UK and cross-border matters, delivering pragmatic advice that enables growth while managing legal risk in a fast-moving, internationally regulated fintech and crypto business. Familiarity with a trading platform’s operations with its institutional clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of day to day commercial agreements for institutional clients, advertising and marketing agreements, partnership and collaboration agreements, letters of engagement, insurance policies, NDAs and other commercial instruments supporting UK, EMEA and worldwide operations

Prepare and maintain template documentation, playbooks, negotiation guidelines, and know-how for scalable contract support across the business

Partner closely with global business stakeholders (including commercial, marketing, partnerships, procurement, and operations) to deliver timely, pragmatic legal support aligned to business objectives

Collaborate with LegalOps to design and improve policies, procedures, and contract workflows that scale with Crypto.com's 2026 operating model

Deliver training on contract review and management, and contribute to knowledge sharing across the Legal team and business partners

Support commercial legal workstreams that advance strategic business plans, including new market initiatives, institutional and partnership deals, and other priorities as directed

Requirements

Qualified solicitor in England and Wales (or equivalent common-law qualification with eligibility to practise / advise on English-law commercial contracts), with 6+ years' PQE in-house, in private practice, or in a government/regulatory agency, with exposure to financial services, fintech, cryptocurrencies/cryptoassets, or general corporate and commercial practice

Excellent English-law contract drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to balance commercial outcomes and risk in complex, multi-party deals

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment and to operate effectively amid change, ambiguity, and evolving cryptoasset and financial-services regulation

Creative problem-solver who remains calm under pressure and communicates clearly with non-legal stakeholders

Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and resolve conflicting priorities without sacrificing quality

Preference for candidates with experience advising on UK consumer-facing, marketing, data protection (UK GDPR), or financial-services commercial arrangements; prior crypto/Web3 or payments experience is a plus
