Job description
VDEX is a rapidly-growing perpetual exchange powered by zero knowledge state channels. The exchange recently surpassed $2 billion in volume and is backed by Binance Labs.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Design and develop backend exchange-related services such as trade execution, order management, and liquidation.
- 5+ years of experience in Golang and Typescript
- Understanding of blockchain fundamentals and DeFi concepts like EVM, tokens, yields.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
- Familiarity with SQL (postgres), RESTful APIs, Event-driven architecture, Kafka, and microservices.
- Knowledge of basic cryptographic principles and key management.
- Comfortable using Git, Docker, AWS and CI/CD tools.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of traditional finance concepts like order books, perpetuals and trading concepts.
- Experience working in small teams and in a fast-paced startup.
Nice To Have:
- Experience working with smart contracts (Solidity).
- Familiarity with Ethereum and etherjs library.
- Contributions to other open-source projects or previous work in DeFi and crypto.
- Ability to reason in mathematical terms and provide formal arguments of correctness and security of a system.
- Background in cryptography and willingness to contribute to the development of zero knowledge primitavites.
