Pocket Network
Community Lead
Pocket Network is the leading decentralized blockchain infrastructure protocol, with support for dozens of the major Web3 networks and billions of weekly relays.
We are looking for someone who is a DAO-native community coordinator and culture czar who can foster our nascent community and grow them into passionate contributors.
The ideal candidate operates like many of our Web3 friends do; they’re deeply curious about all corners of Web3, passionate about the principles of open-source, and they’re already DAO-native.
Because Pocket Network is chain-agnostic node infrastructure, you’ll need to get comfortable with herding a complex, multi-faceted community. We like to think that we have the potential to become the UN of blockchains and you could help make that a reality.
What you’ll be doing:
- DAO Coordination – support DAO processes such as proposals, trophies, bounties, working groups, etc, and help the Foundation Directors to ensure that all DAO-approved actions are followed through
- Community Relations – ensure community needs are being satisfied by measuring engagement in Orbit, holding regular interviews, analyzing community sentiment, and fostering friendships with key community members
- Community Support – answer non-technical community questions, welcome and mentor new community members, and moderate Discord/Discourse threads for discoverability of information
- Community Events – organize a regular cadence of community calls, AMAs, and other community events that bring the community together, educate enthusiasts, and foster collaboration
- Community Culture – work with our Design team to create and curate fun artifacts such as memes, swag, stickers, emojis, role icons, and POAPs, to foster community culture
- Community Operations – continuously audit our community tooling/processes and refine their design to more effectively engage newcomers and scale the communication/coordination of contributors
- Scaling – amplify the impact of the Community team by adopting effective processes/tooling, recruit Community Managers, and establish sustainable working relationships with community contributors

- Can design processes to make distributed working scalable and efficient.
Bonus Points:
- Understands DAO mechanisms/tooling and can work with our Governance Lead to level up our DAO.
- Strong Meme game.
- Experience/curiosity running full nodes (can relate to node runner community).

Characteristics:
- An interpersonal wizard who can ensure everyone feels heard.
- Perceptive of community sentiment and adept at conflict resolution.
- Deep understanding of cultural development.
