Sr Smart Contract Engineer - Security

Origin Protocol’s mission is to bring NFTs and DeFi to the masses and reach the next 100M users in crypto. Role

We are looking for a senior engineer with expert level Solidity smart contracts development skills. The ideal candidate will have developed and shipped DeFi smart contracts holding significant value. They will have deep expertise in securing smart contracts using a combination of processes (ex: code reviews, audits), tools, and techniques.

As an engineer in our small team, you will also be integral in setting both company and engineering directions, culture, and processes. You will help us evangelize the Origin mission and technology.

This is a remote position. We are a fully distributed organization, with team members across the globe.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and test complex DeFi smart contracts


• Review other engineers’ code for correctness and security


• Work with external security firms and implement their feedback


• Build tools and monitoring to ensure nominal operation of Origin’s DeFi protocols


• Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, marketing)

You have:

• 5+ years experience in software engineering


• A track-record and proven experience shipping production grade smart contracts in Solidity


• Deep understanding of the EVM and smart contracts security


• Strong familiarity with the Ethereum DeFi and Web3 eco-system (infrastructure, protocols, applications)


• High attention to detail.


• The ability to work independently on your deliverables, with minimal supervision


• Strong communication skills (oral and written) and ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team


• Familiarity with smart contracts development tools such as Hardhat, Foundry, or Brownie

Nice to have:

• Javascript/Typescript or Python programming experience


• Security tools such as Echidna or Slither


• Contributions to open-source projects


• Experience mentoring less experienced engineers
