Who We Are

Manta is the leading on-chain privacy platform for Polkadot and more. Our mission is to provide privacy for all crypto assets and decentralized finance (DeFi) activities. We are building from first principles, applying cutting-edge cryptographic constructions such as zkSNARKs to implement our design from scratch. We are supported by leading crypto investors including Polychain Capital and many more and grants from Web3 Foundation.

We have two actively developing products right now:

• MantaPay: the first protocol providing plug and play on-chain privatization of Polkadot ecosystem assets.


• MantaSwap: the first practical privacy-preserving decentralized exchange with a rigorous cryptographic guarantee.

If you are excited about building privacy-preserving solutions using zero-knowledge proofs, building blockchain applications, or learning about Polkadot ecosystems, then we want to hear from you.

Who You Are

We are looking for smart people who are motivated and passionate about developing a must-have product for the blockchain space. You should be able to hit the ground running and learn quickly. Furthermore:

• Proven 5 years + backend/infrastructure project experience using Rust or C/C++


• Solid understanding of operating systems and computer networking


• Experience with building continuous integration for backend/infra project using Docker, Github Actions, and Terraform


• Knowledge of cryptographic primitives, such as Signature, Public Key Encryption, Merkle tree


• Knowledge of distributed systems and consensus algorithms


• Excellent oral English and strong communication skills

Good to Have

• A cryptocurrency and DeFi user


• Experience in leading an engineering team: planning short/mid-term goals, organizing team, and delivering projects on time


• Experience with zero-knowledge proof systems, such as Groth16, Plonk, or Halo2
