Fuel VM is parallelized, state minimized and highly interoperable. It combines UTXO’s, Parallelization, Asset Oriented Design, Security, and Interoperability, to create one package which is optimized to solve for the world of Ethereum Rollups.
In short, all the existing limitations when building DeFi protocols are being solved by Fuel.
What We Do
In 2019, we began with the debut of Fuel V1, our first major step toward enhancing Ethereum’s scalability, and since then we’ve grown to offer a complete Rollup Operating System. We create innovative technologies like the Fuel Virtual Machine, and Sway—a programing language designed specifically for blockchains—that together form a robust environment for developers, with relentless focus on usability. These tools are part of our commitment to optimize and expand Ethereum’s potential, for all its users.
Who We Are
The team comprises 75 professionals, including builders formerly from well-known Web3 organizations such as Consensys, Polygon, Polkadot and Ethereum. Our contributors works remotely, hailing from diverse locations globally, and we value curiosity, passion, and accountability in our collaborative efforts.
About This Role
This role can be based anywhere but the United States. Applicants that do not meet the location requirements will be automatically disqualified.
We’re looking for a Head of Talent to lead the TA function and support our next stage of scale.
Our ideal candidate has previous experience with top notch Web3 organizations, and a track record of implementing successful scaling strategies while keeping a firm grasp on the right vibes and the culture we want to maintain. This person will be responsible for Fuel positioning as the best organization to work in Web3, and to attract the right talent, improve our hiring processes and ability to scale, while providing exceptional candidate experience.

Responsibilities
- Create the most effective hiring machine for Fuel Labs - increase inbound applications relevancy, decrease time to hire, improve hiring process to ensure high quality hires for all functions.
- Manage internal and external recruiters (currently an embedded team in-house and several external agents); with a mid-term goal on decreasing reliance on agencies.
- Create and execute a Talent branding strategy that positions us in all the right avenues to attract the best Web3 talent.
- Create and maintain our Career and Work with us pages to reflect internal mission, values and generally the real Fuel vibes.
- Set up our ATS (we’re on Lever, happy to consider a migration to another system such as Ashby) with automations to smoothen workflows, improve email templates, consistently deliver reports on pipeline quality and develop new metrics (focusing on candidate quality and lifetime value).
- Maintain and consistently update databases of roles and job descriptions.
- Work with hiring managers to build strong job descriptions and hiring processes. identify and implement improvements to the hiring process
- Conduct interviews at all stages of the hiring process as relevant.
- Build strong relations and partner with hiring managers across the organization, to be able to quickly and effectively cater for any hiring need that arises.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Talent Lead/Head of, successfully scaling fully remote, progressive Web3 organizations.
- Takes pride in delivering work that is refined and extremely well done.
- Articulate, used to speak up and challenge the status quo.
- Has led a small talent acquisition team before and enjoys coaching and coordinating.
- Listens attentively and strategically adjusts processes to the best outcome.
- Uses accurate data and visualizations to provide regular insights to stakeholders.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships.
- Proficient at async work, able to function effectively in a globally distributed organization.
