Imperator.co is a leading proof-of-stake node operator, securing over 45 blockchains, including Cosmos, Ethereum, and Sui, with more than $400M in assets staked. Serving a global customer base of 200,000+, we specialize in Data Engineering, supporting Cosmos infrastructure. Trusted by dYdX, Osmosis, Axelar, Coingecko, and others, we contribute to major protocols’ operations.


Imperator.co proudly collaborates with dYdX, contributing as a key team running the indexer for dYdX v4. Our role is critical in ensuring traders have access to accurate, real-time asset pricing and trading data. Our goal is to empower and educate, making the Cosmos ecosystem more accessible. We provide people with extensive research papers, founders interview, weekly newsletter.


Our commitment extends to diverse professional services, including expert consultation in areas such as tokenomics, marketing, strategy, and infrastructure. We offer technical support, tailored staking services for institutional clients, and white-labeling solutions.


Who we’re looking for


We are seeking a dynamic Head of Business Development and Growth who exemplifies strategic vision, innovation, and a proactive approach. This role is pivotal in driving our expansion efforts, forging key partnerships, and shaping the future of our company. The ideal candidate will possess the leadership qualities to manage this critical function independently. With a deep understanding of the blockchain industry and a passion for cutting-edge technologies, this individual will play a crucial role in propelling Imperator.co to new heights.



  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.

  • At least 3 years of proven experience in Business Development, particularly in blockchain or tech industries.

  • Foundational understanding of crypto/DeFi concepts and markets, with a keen interest in staying updated on industry developments.

  • Strong skills in Public Relations, able to effectively communicate and represent Imperator.co in various situations.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English, with the ability to create and deliver presentations and pitches to potential partners and clients.

  • Ability to manage and nurture key partnerships and client relationships.

  • Strategic thinker, innovative and proactive in proposing and implementing new ideas and strategies within the blockchain space.

  • Highly attentive to detail, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in every task.

  • Team player with qualities such as empathy, open-mindedness, and humbleness.

  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision, showcasing self-motivation and a proactive approach.

  • Highly organized and a systems thinker, with a commitment to developing efficient processes and procedures to support business growth.

  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with engineers, marketing, legal teams, and other stakeholders.

  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships across the ecosystem, especially with institutional partners like venture funds, liquid token funds, financial services firms, and market makers.


Responsibilities



  • Develop and execute business development strategies to expand Imperator.co’s presence and partnerships within the industry.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key investors, stakeholders, and community leaders.

  • Represent Imperator.co at industry events, conferences, and meetings, enhancing our public relations efforts.

  • Develop and implement integration strategies, and monitor progress and outcomes using CRM tools.

  • Cultivate and manage partnerships, develop unique product offerings, and maintain long-term synergies.

  • Accurately document all prospective investor interactions in the internal CRM database for thorough tracking and analysis.

  • Apply analytical skills to evaluate market trends, competitor activities, and investor preferences to guide strategic business development efforts.

  • Prepare internal and partner corporate documents.

  • Drive pipeline momentum, develop and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies for key initiatives, and identify opportunities to validate beta products.

  • Maintain and expand professional and technical knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrency technology.

Process


Shortlisted candidates will then proceed through the following steps:



  • Screening interview - an initial discussion to assess general qualifications, motivation, and alignment with our team’s values and culture

  • Case Study/Presentation - Candidates will be given a real-world business development scenario to solve and present their strategy and approach. This step assesses analytical skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Final Interview with Founders - A concluding interview with the company’s founders to discuss long-term vision, potential contributions, and to finalize any outstanding questions from both sides.
