Outlier Ventures is the largest Web 3 accelerator in the world. Founded in 2014, it works with startups at various stages of their lifecycle from pre-seed / seed (via Base Camp) to later stage about to launch (or live) token networks specialising in a New Data Economy, NFTs, and DeFi bringing together a network of 1,000 ’s of the world’s leading web 3 founders, protocols, VCs to mentor, and invest.

About the role

We are passionate about building the Open Metaverse with our founders, partners and portfolio companies, and are looking for people with the same passion for building the future of the web to join.

As a Social Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the public facing identity of Outlier Ventures. With this in mind we are looking for someone who lives and breathes Web3. You will already create Web3 focused content, have built a following and be part of Web3 focused culture and communities.

The role will be responsible for implementing our social media strategy, driving reach and engagement to champion Outlier Ventures and our portfolio amongst Founders, Investors and Partners.

The role requires a natural flair in managing Web3 social media accounts, crafting compelling copy and creating engaging creative content cross platform.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual ready to take on a key role in being at the forefront of the next generation of the internet.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the social media strategy on key social accounts, aligned with Outlier Ventures brand, tone of voice and campaign requirements.

  • Manage the social media calendar, ensuring reactive requirements and long term planning is catered for

  • Find innovative and social first ways to promote key Outlier Ventures content such as newsletters, thought leadership, podcasts and program application cycles.

  • Reporting on social analytics and proactively adjusting strategy as necessary

  • Develop and implement a unique and authentically Web3 tone of voice

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that our social media efforts are aligned with our overall marketing strategy

  • Community Management of the Outlier Ventures Discord and Telegram channels

  • Stay up to date with Web3 trends and news, pro-actively sharing and reporting back to the wider team

  • Be a creative force within the content and marketing team, always looking to experiment and iterate

  • Relationship building where necessary with Web3 communities, influencers and partners

We are looking for someone who:

  • Lives and breathes Web3.

  • You will already create Web3 focused content, have built a following and be part of Web3 focused communities.

  • Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in the Web3 and the social media industry

  • You are comfortable with writing on social, knowing how to hook in the audience with compelling copy

  • Experience of and passion for managing social media channels

  • Impeccable English language communication and writing skills

  • Ability to create compelling content using video and graphical editing tools

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Self starter

  • High level of attention to detail


Package is subject to relevant experience. It will bias towards performance related bonuses, including the opportunity to invest directly into token projects on the same terms as the Outlier Ventures partnership
