Product Manager

Sense builds products that allow users to hedge interest rate volatility and express views about future interest rates and protocol risk. Our main product, the Sense Protocol, will be the next piece of permissive DeFi infrastructure, enabling the creation of fixed income instruments and yield curves across the universe of yield generating activity.

Together, we’ll embark on a mission to bridge fixed income to DeFi and build a more equitable financial system.

The Role

As our first PM, you’ll work directly with founders (Josh & Kenton), engineers, and designers to help shape the direction of Sense’s products, their vision, and development cycles. At Sense, you’ll pioneer new product standards for the rapidly innovating sector of DeFi, and have autonomy over projects in a fast-paced environment that is challenging, supportive, and actualizing. 

Responsibilities:

• Define Sense’s product roadmap


• Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery


• Collect, synthesize, and act on new information


• Espouse the agile methodology and best practices


• Interface with users, engineering and business owners for defining requirements and scope


• Proactively identify inefficiencies that are holding teams back, and drive better, more efficient workflows

What we look for in You:

• 2+ years of experience in product management, working with cross-functional teams to deliver consistent, reliable shipping momentum


• Proven ability to lead a team of engineers and designers in shipping & maintaining product features at a high cadence and quality


• You have deep knowledge of DeFi, crypto communities, and knowledge of traditional finance products. You know what’s happening, what is working and not working.


• You solve problems in a data-driven manner and have worked with SQL, spreadsheet models and/or Dune Analytics (even better)


• You are an effective leader, able to motivate a team and influence external stakeholders


• You are open-minded to new ideas with a mindset of continuous learning

Nice to haves:

• Experience with interpreting and writing Solidity


• Experience writing python or SQL


• Previous professional experience in DeFi


• Managed fully remote teams


• Prior experience in a start-up environment
