About The Role

We are seeking an investment analyst to join our research team. This role is designed to support the research team overseeing the accelerator’s thought leadership and thesis formation. You will play a pivotal role in the research process, from ideation and thesis formation to communication of our views both internally and externally. You will be working closely with investments, program managers, business development, portfolio, and marketing. Leveraging insights from across the business, combined with your own network in Web3, we expect you to become a key opinion leader in various industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Development Support: Help BD tailor our programs to specific ecosystem needs. This involves ecosystem analysis to understand the specific needs of our partners and aligning them with what we, as a leading global accelerator, can offer.


• Thesis Formation: Support senior researchers in thesis formation. This involves an extensive deep dive into verticals and ecosystems to develop new market views on areas like DeFi, DePIN, AI, RWA, the BTC ecosystem, modularity, and more.


• Investment and Cohort Support: Deliver insights from valuable data extracted through our program recruitment funnel and daily operations. These insights are used internally for strategic decision-making and externally for our program partners.


• Portfolio: Engage with over 300 portfolio companies to collaborate on delivering key insights around product upgrades, capital raises, mainnet or token launches, and more.

We are looking for someone who has:

• 1-2 years of experience in research activities, preferably focused on technology, cryptocurrency, or Web3.


• Desire to be part of and manage a fast-growing team, working cross-functionally with early-stage partners, and capable of self-managing in an unstructured environment.


• Self-starter who is comfortable with minimal direction and high expectations, with a proven ability to learn new domains and technologies quickly.


• Strong understanding of Web3, crypto, and blockchain concepts and ecosystems.


• Ability to synthesize complex information, form a sharp point of view, and communicate it clearly and succinctly to different audiences.


• Understands the value of scalable systems and processes.


• Comfortable building conviction based on both qualitative and quantitative data points.


• Highly motivated with the ability to handle routine tasks and solve problems with high interpersonal skills.

Package

Package is subject to relevant experience. It will bias towards performance related bonuses, including the opportunity to invest directly into token projects on the same terms as the Outlier Ventures partnership
