RabbitHole is guiding the next wave of people through web3 while helping crypto projects find & reward their most engaged users. In the future, RabbitHole will be the best place to find talent & discover work in web3.

To achieve this mission, we are looking for an Engineering Manager to set the foundation for highly scalable, best-in-class product execution at RabbitHole. This is a unique opportunity for culture builders interested in co-creating the future of RabbitHole as this team will eventually transition to an industry leading product DAO.

About you:

If you’re applying for this job, you are endlessly curious about the emerging web3 ecosystem, you are passionate about on-chain reputation, and creating a more meritocratic future excites you. Joining our team now means you’ll play an integral role in shaping engineering structures and systems, helping define the processes and develop the people behind RabbitHole’s product and providing critical input into the product roadmap. We are looking for a resourceful, detail-oriented problem-solver who has scaled consumer-centric engineering teams to bring a unique set of experiences and perspectives to RabbitHole and the protocols we partner with (wagmi).

We are a remote-first company, so we’re looking for an independent, but collaborative, leader who is open to the occasional travel for events and company off-sites – in true crypto spirit, we enjoy vibing together.

Responsibilities/duties:

  • Technical execution and leadership: You’ll work closely with our CEO and our product and design team to provide critical input into the product roadmap. You’ll support engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle, serving as a thoughtful voice in diligent technical decisions and breaking down features and initiatives into atomic units. You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty, as you’ll spend a portion of your time writing, reviewing, and testing code. You’ll also work closely with smart contract engineer(s) as we transition to a protocol.

  • Team building and talent development: You’ll create and evolve an organizational design for a team of high-impact, full-stack engineers. You’ll be responsible for creating and fostering the engineering team’s culture. You will mentor each member of the engineering team to help them reach their full potential. You’ll recruit and hire new engineers, creating a standard of raising the bar with each new hire.

  • Implementing best practices for best-in-class execution: You’ll supercharge the engineering team by building a robust and scalable infrastructure to support RabbitHole’s rapidly growing business. You’ll ensure the engineering team has processes in place to enable them to deliver quality projects at a fast pace, including optimizing our sprint planning and execution, rigorously deploying security standards throughout the development stack, and spearheading a robust QA process. You’ll drive performance for the team and hold them accountable to externally and internally imposed deadlines and targets.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: As an early stage company, you will interface directly with the CEO. You will have the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with our team of engineers, product managers, and designers. You’ll build strong partnerships with your counterparts in operations, business development, and marketing, communicating to technical and non-technical audiences across the organization.
