Crypto Research Analyst

Acrew Capital is hiring a Research Analyst who will focus on web3 and crypto investments for the firm. This includes research work on investable digital assets, helping manage trading strategy as well as day-to-day execution, and overseeing operational & reporting requirements for holdings. Investments will primarily be made out of Acrew’s Long Term View early stage fund.

Crypto Research Analyst at Acrew Capital

You are insanely passionate about blockchain, cryptocurrencies, DeFi and web3. You have the ability to translate your understanding of the market to help the team identify, evaluate, invest and manage our crypto exposure. You can create quantitative and technical research to support investment theses and effectively communicate ideas to drive execution. You will be responsible for helping manage trading activities related to Acrew’s crypto exposure.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience performing structured research on crypto assets or protocols for research, asset management or hedge fund


• 2+ years crypto trading experience and/or technical research on trading patterns


• Experience working with numerous exchange venues and custody solutions


• Ability to do both fundamental research on new protocols and deep technical research on trading patterns


• Understanding of how token economics work and ability to build financial models to analyze market potential


• Participant in web3 as a personal passion whether as a DeFi yield farmer, NFT enthusiast, part of a DAO, or activity in relevant communities & Discord groups


• BS/MS in financial engineering, applied mathematics, computer science, or similar quantitative field

Responsibilities

• Help manage trading strategy and operational implementation for crypto positions including trading, staking, lending, yield farming and governance participation


• Develop risk management framework


• Develop quantitative and qualitative research opinions and present to investment team


• Identify best sources of liquidity and lowest trading costs for execution*


• Identify and react to market trends & opportunities


• Develop deep network of web3 & crypto resources to facilitate market insights and investment opportunities


• Contribute to Acrew’s thought leadership and participation in the web3 & crypto community


• Attending conferences and industry events as a representative of Acrew


• Helping to evaluate and implement initiatives that build upon the broader Acrew ecosystem & community
